New Year 2010 for every INDIAN !!!

New Year!!!
New Year is on the urge…I am sure people are done with planning great long vacation plans. Some would be going abroad, some to the hot happening places, and some in the casinos, discs and pubs. We are earning so much that we don’t mind spending lavishly ,no matter thousands, lakhs for just that one day’s rocking evening that’s 31st December. We get so much engrossed in its preparation that we forget there’s world outside my home, there are poor people on the street which I can’t see or rather I don’t want to see when I am traveling through my luxurious car, there are small kids performing some or the other stunts, dances to get one rupee in their palms which has future of tomorrow’s India, there are old people who are thrown away from homes because now they are of no use but just a liability to their families, there are people fighting for water, there are beggars on every railway , bus or auto station, there are n number of people dying coz of starvation, there are entire families, farmers committing suicide because of the bad financial conditions, there are so many chotu’s leaving education aside and working at tea ( Chai taparis) stalls……
But why this should matter or bother me? I work hard for entire day, month, and year so I have all the right to enjoy my life, have blast!!! Isn’t it?
Yes, it would have bothered me if they would have been some one to me, but they aren’t!!! So forget it!!!
I don’t want to waste more of yours time, but I am sure everyone knows OUR INDIAN PLEDGE, the one which was recited by Indians in unison at public events, during daily assemblies in many Indian schools, and during the Independence Day and Republic Day Observance Ceremonies. The words of the National Pledge go like this:
India is my country. All Indians are my brothers and sisters.I love my country. I am proud of its
rich and varied heritage. I shall always strive to be worthy of it. I shall give my parents, teachers and all elders, respect, and treat everyone with courtesy. To my country and my people, I pledge my devotion. In their well being and prosperity alone, lies my happiness.
Oh do we remember it, or it was just for the hake of saying.

I am not saying not to enjoy New Year; we can enjoy, but just by helping the needy. The money we are going to spend for one evening to forget the dark phases of this year, we can use the same money to lighten someone’s life .Like taking the educational responsibilities for one year for some needy child, making one family not to starve at least for one month , getting clothes at least for one women who is finding hard to breast feed her baby because of her torn sari, donations for orphans, not only in terms of money but also by spending some time with them, giving them love ,confidence, educating them to be good human being, and so on and so on ….There are many ways if one wants to really serve our nation . Rather then making some resolutions for new year and breaking them we can make some one laugh, not for ever but surely for some time..The blessings from these hearts would be true and would be with us for ever!!!
So lets get up from the sleep and march forward together, and make our country worth living for every INDIAN who are my, my own family.
